Sometimes, when driving around Atlanta, I take Habersham Road just for the lovely winding street, and the gorgeous homes that flank either side of it. This area was developed in the early 1900’s and has some of the most beautiful homes in Atlanta.  One of the most delightful surprises of this location, is how easily you and get around the Buckhead area by the way the streets are laid out.

This delightful, traditional home was designed by Frazier and Bodin and built in 1938.  Frazier and Bodin were very popular architects, designing homes such as Callanwolde, The James Floyd home, and homes in Druid Hills and Ansley Park. Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles did a great article on this firm. As you can see by the outside design of the house, it has a very traditional layout. Living room and dining room flank the entryway, with the more casual areas in the rear of the house.  The outdoor space is remarkable. There is over an acre of beautiful gardens,  courtyards for entertaining, and open lawn.

The moldings and mantels are exquisite and reflect gracious living and timelessness. Just beautiful. The lucky family who is it’s next occupant will not only love this home, but will be able to easily enjoy the whole area because of it’s road accessibility. Charming.
